The enchantment of the world
|
With a population of around 4.5 million and located in Central America with a myriad of sandy beaches, pristine wildernesses, raging volcanoes, and array of endemic species, Costa Rica will not disappoint. Costa Rica offers a rare glimpse into the beautiful wilderness that attracts millions and makes some consider it the 'eighth wonder of the world'.
One of the 20 countries with the richest biodiversity, the territory prides itself for the ecotourism it offers. In total, more than 25% of the territory is protected and they have 11 areas of conservation where they limit the amount of exposure this pristine, fragile wilderness gets. Few countries in the world have made such an effort for conservation as Costa Rica has. With over 500,000 different species of plants and animals, Costa Rica has every reason to preserve their wildlife. |
